Review DPF · Digital transformation in intralogistics

August 18, 2022

Challenge:

The aim of Digital Product Factory #5 was to provide equipment data for graphical analysis using an IoT infrastructure. This should include the provision, processing and analysis of data from fabmatics equipment (including built-in sensors and control elements) with suitable cloud services from different levels of the equipment's system architecture. A sensor/controller-2-cloud prototype was to be used as an example to create a template for a comprehensive architecture for the integration of further system use cases.

Solution:

The minimum viable product (MVP) handed over to Fabmatics comprises a functional cloud infrastructure that can record, process and analyse different data formats from various sensors and controllers and display them in different user perspectives.

A vertical integration of previously fragmented file structures was achieved. It should be emphasised that it was possible to develop a blueprint approach that can include the horizontal integration of other types of equipment.

Challenge owner: Fabmatics

Project partners: Telekom MMS & Wandelbots
