Review DPF · Making cobots react to humans thanks to cloud computing

September 07, 2021

Challenge:

Even short waiting times are a challenge, especially in the field of cobots and interactive robotics. In future scenarios, in which robots are sometimes even only rented for individual production steps, the efficient work of the robot and the monitoring of its performance in real time are essential for new service offerings and correct billing.

The aim is to optimise human-robot interaction and develop a new business model for rental scenarios.

Solution:

Thanks to the solution, the robot can react intelligently to human behaviour. Downtimes can be reduced by up to 50%. By visualising robot activities, companies can now also bill robots for partial services with pinpoint accuracy and in real time, which enables new rental models for the use of robots in industrial environments and thus significantly reduces the barrier to entry, especially for small SMEs.
