Smart Systems Hub - Digitalization within the Internet of Things

The Smart Systems Hub Dresden is part of the Germany-wide Digital Hub Initiative (de:hub initiative) initiated by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Energy (BMWi). At a total of twelve locations, clearly focused “technology lighthouses” are currently working in the innovation fields of the present and the near future.

In Germany, the Smart Systems Hub Dresden is one of the central enablers of the upcoming future field “Internet of Things” (IoT). The hub and its partners develop, produce and market as a one-stop shop that brings together the existing services of the future field “Smart Systems” from intelligent components and algorithms to smart machines and systems.

Trails - where IoT really happens

Trails are “run in” and “marked out” routes to a fixed destination. Figuratively, they lead through the technology jungle, offer orientation and a certain degree of safety. Companies looking for smart components, algorithms, solutions, machines or entire plants that fit their needs get a scalable overview in the trails offered by the Smart Systems Hub.

Whether Smart Maintenance, Co-Robotic, Smart Sensors, Li-Fi, Assisted Reality, Digital Innovation or Digital Transformation – a total of 25 broadly diversified trails currently show the future of smart systems in Saxony. Target industries, such as the automotive sector, mechanical and plant engineering, medical technology, etc., can benefit from this accumulated know-how. From short teaser trails to individual intensive trails lasting several days, the Dresden Smart Systems Hub provides suitable offers for almost all areas, target groups and sought-after solutions.

#HUBTRAIL - Smart Sensor

Thanks to smart sensors, machines will not only communicate with each other in the future, but also with people. This reduces downtimes, optimizes maintenance processes and ultimately saves costs and personnel resources.
Using models from our industrial partners, we will demonstrate to you how this works and what individual solutions can look like for you…

Partners and shareholders - smart and innovative together

Together with our partners, we work on the development and marketing of smart systems of the future. The exchange and cooperation in this unique “technology lighthouse” enables innovation, networking, knowledge and technology transfer in a new dimension.
